Kimberly Kandros

Kimberly Kandros is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in development and grants management within cultural and educational institutions. Currently serving as the Manager of Development and Special Projects at the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources since January 2015, Kimberly oversees development activities that support various strategic initiatives across multiple divisions, including state parks, historic sites, and museums. Prior experience includes directing the grants program at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, managing a significant capital campaign and overseeing a substantial portfolio of grant funding. Kimberly also held roles at the Museum of Discovery and Science and Vanguard Car Rental, focusing on grants and government relations. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University at Albany.
