Paul Sugrue

Paul Sugrue has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as an Investigator for the North Carolina State Bar since October 2017, where responsibilities include investigating grievance matters for the Office of Counsel. Prior to this role, Sugrue held various positions within the United States Marshals Service, including Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal from March 2010 to September 2017, overseeing operations and ensuring security across multiple districts. Sugrue's earlier roles included Judicial Security Inspector, where significant contributions involved creating active shooter response plans and training personnel. Sugrue also led specialized task forces focusing on sex offenders and fugitives, demonstrating a commitment to public safety. Sugrue holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from UMass Boston.
