Jeffrey Causey

Jeffrey Causey has a strong background in finance and operations management. Jeffrey is currently serving as the Director of Business and Finance at the North Carolina Zoo. Prior to this role, they were the Director of Finance and Operations at the Inter-Faith Council for Social Service. Jeffrey also served as the Interim Vice President for Administration and Finance at Bennett College.

Before that, Jeffrey held the position of Chief Financial Officer at the Durham Housing Authority, where they successfully managed accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, and information technology. Jeffrey reduced staffing without layoffs while maintaining service levels and implemented new computer technologies.

Earlier in their career, Jeffrey was the President/Owner of Strategic Innovations, Inc. and also served as the Assistant County Manager at Alamance County, where they managed the annual operating budget, implemented new billing systems, and facilitated strategic planning.

Jeffrey began their career as the Town Administrator of Richlands and later became the Town Manager of Spencer. Overall, Jeffrey Causey has accumulated extensive experience in finance, operations, and strategic planning.

Jeffrey Causey completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University in the years 1984 to 1988. Jeffrey further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Public Administration degree in the years 1991 to 1993, specializing in Public Administration. Additionally, Jeffrey acquired certifications including the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute in June 2011. It is not specified where they obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina or the exact date of completion.
