Jay Friedel

Jay Friedel is an experienced educator with a diverse teaching background spanning various grade levels and subjects. Currently serving as a Teacher at North Chicago District 187 since August 2016, Jay previously taught mathematics at GLENVIEW CCSD 34 SCHOOL DISTRICT from August 2014 to June 2016, where instruction included 7th and 8th grade math, science, and social studies. Jay also served as a 7th grade math and science teacher at East Prairie School during the 2012-2013 academic year. Earlier in the career, Jay taught science at Chicago Public Schools from August 2000 to August 2005. Before entering education, Jay held roles as a server and bartender at Dave & Buster's and as a facility manager at Hoops the Gym. Jay holds a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University and an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
