Anthony Fitzgerald

Anthony Fitzgerald has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry, spanning over two decades. Anthony started their career as a Process Engineer at Trident Consultants, where they worked on preparing a CIMAH Safety Case and conducting Quantitative Risk Assessments. Anthony then joined MW Kellogg, where they developed front-end designs for an NGL/LNG plant in Egypt.

In 2001, Anthony joined ABB and worked on the Basic Engineering Package for a Floating LNG Production and Storage Vessel. Anthony was responsible for modeling the complete flare systems for the offshore LNG plant. Anthony later moved to Foster Wheeler as a Senior Process Engineer, leading a team in the preparation of the FEED package for the Dolphin Project Onshore Gas Processing Plant in Qatar.

Joining Saipem in 2003, Anthony worked as a Senior Process Engineer on the Erha FPSO project in Nigeria. Anthony was involved in detailed design and modeling of flare systems using FLARENET simulation software. Anthony later returned to Maersk Oil as a Senior Process Engineer, working on bypass projects for pressure vessel inspections on the Gorm field.

In 2007, Anthony joined Hess Corporation as a Senior Facilities Engineer, overseeing the West Med gas/condensate development project. Anthony managed a team of process engineers in producing FEED documentation and collaborating with subcontractors on the MEG unit and Flow Assurance work.

Returning to Maersk Oil once again in 2009, Anthony took on the role of a Senior Process Engineer for the Al Shaheen Field. Anthony handled daily production and process-related issues for the field, as well as conducted offshore tasks to improve plant performance. Anthony later became the Head of Production Optimization, leading a multidisciplinary team and implementing new processes for production excellence.

Most recently, Anthony has been working at North Oil Company Qatar as the Production Lead and is currently the Head of Field Operations Technical Support.

Anthony Fitzgerald attended the University of Exeter from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical and Process Engineering.
