Fawas Nassar

Fawas Nassar has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Fawas began their career at Maersk Oil in 2014, where they worked as a MITAS Wellsite Drilling Engineer. During this role, they gained experience in offshore operations in Denmark's North Sea, working on jack-up rigs and focusing on reporting. Fawas also had a rotation as a MITAS Reservoir Engineer, where they conducted asset forecasting and decline curve analysis for various fields.

In 2016, Fawas transitioned to the role of Wellsite Drilling Engineer at Maersk Oil. Fawas was responsible for close-out and transition activities in Al Shaheen Field in Qatar. This role involved offshore and office work, with a rotation schedule of 2 weeks offshore, 1 week in the office, and 1 week off.

In 2017, Fawas joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Drilling Engineer. Their responsibilities included drilling extended-reach wells and executing complex workovers in the Al Shaheen Field. Fawas prepared drilling, workover, and abandonment programs, monitored operations, and ensured timely arrangements of equipment and services. Fawas also led pre-job planning to minimize non-productive time and close out field work requests.

Fawas Nassar is currently working at North Oil Company Qatar as a Lead for Performance Improvement, Knowledge & Compliance. The start date for this role is May 2022, and there is no specified end date. In this position, Fawas utilizes their expertise in drilling engineering design and reporting applications, as well as performance dashboards.

Fawas Nassar's education history begins with a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical Engineering from B S Abdur Rahman University, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University Dubai, completing it between 2013 and 2014.
