Ian Powney

Ian Powney has extensive experience in the IT industry, with a focus on strategy, projects, and transformation. Ian served as the Head of Strategy & Projects at North Oil Company Qatar, where they were responsible for overseeing a large IT budget and leading transformation projects. Ian also shaped the strategic vision for IT and was accountable for increased collaboration, business model innovation, and efficient operations. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of IT Strategy and Projects at Maersk Oil, where they successfully led the IT Transformation and Integration of Maersk Asset to North Oil. Ian also held positions as a Senior IT Project Manager at Maersk Oil, IT Project Manager at Kantar IT Partnership, IT Support Team Leader at Millward Brown, and IT Trainer/Helpdesk Exec at BMRB.

Ian Powney obtained a BA in Economics with Honours from Staffordshire University. Ian studied at the university from 1995 until 1998.
