Derek Leggitt

Derek Leggitt is a seasoned manager in the gas utility industry with extensive experience in customer service and operations management. Currently serving as Manager of Customer Service at North Shore Gas since January 2019 and simultaneously as Manager of Customer Operations at Peoples Gas since August 2013, Derek excels in overseeing operational and maintenance activities, strategic workforce management, and compliance issues. Prior experience includes roles at Integrys as Senior Engineer in Gas Engineering, Regulatory, and Compliance, where significant improvements in contractor accountability and efficiency were achieved, and at CMS Energy as a PEP Engineer, focusing on damage prevention and operational metrics. Derek holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from DePaul Driehaus College of Business and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
