Katie McManus PhD, RN has held various roles in the healthcare field. Katie started their career as an RN at New England Rehabilitation from 2008 to 2011. Katie then worked at Winchester Hospital as a Critical Care Float RN from 2010 to 2015, a Nursing Supervisor from 2014 to 2015, and a Nurse Manager from 2015 to 2017. In 2013, they also took on the role of Adjunct Faculty at Salem State University until 2017. From 2017 to 2023, they served as a Nurse Manager at Beverly Hospital. Currently, they are the Nurse Director of the Cardiac Cath/EP lab at Mass General Brigham - Salem Hospital starting in 2023.

Katie McManus, PhD, RN, pursued their education in a systematic manner, beginning with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Tirana, which they completed from 1990 to 1995. Katie then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Salem State University, which they completed from 2004 to 2007. Katie further enhanced their nursing expertise by obtaining a Master's degree in Nursing Education from Endicott College between 2012 and 2014. Finally, they achieved the highest level of academic accomplishment in the nursing discipline by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Nursing Science from Endicott College from 2014 to 2018.
