Nikhil Kanamala

Nikhil Kanamala is a seasoned Clinical Informatics Specialist Lead at Northern Health - BC, with an extensive background in clinical engineering and biomedical technology. Nikhil consolidates national and provincial standards to develop design guides for hospital constructions and renovations, while also serving as a subject matter expert for new technologies. Nikhil has a proven track record in the strategic design of processes to enhance electronic medical record (EMR) use and has significant experience in space design for digital clinical environments. With previous roles at institutions such as Trillium Health Partners and Niagara Health, Nikhil has contributed to quality measurement initiatives and the integration of medical devices. Nikhil holds an Executive Education degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia, a Bachelor's degree in Physiology from the University of Toronto, and an Advanced Diploma in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Centennial College.
