Teresa completed their degree in 1997.

Following their undergraduate studies, Teresa pursued further education and obtained a Provincial Instructor Diploma from Vancouver Community College (VCC) between 2000 and 2004. Their focus during this diploma program was in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching.

In 2004, Teresa enrolled in the University of Newcastle, where they obtained a Master of Marketing degree specializing in International Marketing. Teresa completed this program in 2006.

In recent years, Teresa has continued their education by completing various certifications. In 2005, they became an Advanced Toastmaster - Gold (ATM-G) through Toastmasters International. Additionally, they obtained a Trainer III For Those Who Help Others certification from Scouts Canada in the same year.

In 2021, Teresa pursued an Indigenous Canada Certificate from the University of Alberta, and they completed the program in the same year. Currently, in 2022, they are enrolled in the Four Seasons of Reconciliation program at the First Nations University of Canada.
