John M. Craft

Dr. John Craft was tapped to be the Superintendent of Northside ISD in 2023.

He began his educational career as a biology teacher and football/baseball coach in Carroll ISD in 1999, then as an Assistant Principal for Carroll High School. After nine years with Carroll ISD, he became the Principal of Timberview High School in Mansfield ISD. Dr. Craft served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Hamilton ISD before becoming the Deputy Superintendent for the Killeen ISD in 2012. He was named Superintendent of Killeen ISD in January 2015.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Craft serves on numerous local, state, and national committees, including the Education Advisory Board, Texas Education Agency Commissioner’s Cabinet, and the Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital Executive Board.
