William T McKenzie M.D.

William T McKenzie MD is a seasoned medical professional currently serving as the President of The Lung and Sleep Center since July 2016. McKenzie is actively involved as a member of the BAXALTA ALPHA-1 ADVISORY BOARD and holds a position as Clinical Instructor for the Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of South Alabama. Additionally, McKenzie acts as an Expert Speaker for numerous pharmaceutical companies, contributing to the field of pharmaceutical research as a Sub Investigator at Emerald Coast Research Associates since 2009. McKenzie has held medical staff positions at multiple healthcare facilities and has been affiliated with the Alpha-1 Foundation as a Clinical Resource Center since 2007. McKenzie obtained a degree in Biology, Physics, and Biochemistry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is currently pursuing certification as a Financial Advisor at Boston University.
