Michael Johnson is a Youth Development Specialist at Northwest Passage. Michael previously worked as a Managing Director - Investment Banking; Retail and Apparel at KeyBanc Capital Markets from January 2007 to January 2009. During their time at KeyBanc Capital Markets, they were responsible for development of new KeyBanc Capital Markets relationships with consumer industry corporate clients and consumer-centric financial sponsors, including private equity and private debt. Michael also served as lead advisor and principal deal manager for all KeyBanc equity, leveraged finance and M&A activity within the retail, apparel and healthy/active lifestyles sectors. Some notable transactions that they closed include Big Rock Sports, Zipp Speed Weaponry, hh Gregg, SRAM and Town Sports. Michael was also responsible for all aspects of transaction management, including leadership and assignment of team tasks, collaboration among product partners within KeyBanc, due diligence, financial analysis, negotiation, valuation and board-level presentation of results achieved, and training of junior team members. In addition, they undertook a year-long effort to re-configure and win approval for a commercially viable Consumer Markets Research coverage, including identification of sub-vertical coverage focus, research names and trading targets.

Michael Johnson has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Washington.
