Chip served as Vice President of Finance and Administration at Northwood University since 2020, including admissions and marketing responsibilities. With the University in a strong financial position, having navigated the challenges of the ongoing pandemic and May 2020 flood, Chip transitioned in February 2022, primarily focusing on admissions and marketing priorities. Chip also played a key role in developing the 2021-2026 Strategic Plan and continues to lead and influence strategic initiatives.
At Dow Corning Corporation (and subsequently The Dow Chemical Company), Chip served customers in sales, marketing, and experience design. He led corporate digital strategy, delivering industry-leading, scalable models that have impacted over $1 billion in revenue. As the Director of Discovery in the Business & Technology Incubator, he led global research efforts on megatrends to identify potential $100 million in growth opportunities. Chip also has experience delivering international training on value pricing, design thinking, and marketing ROI.
Beyond his corporate experience, Chip taught innovation management in Switzerland, developed a new curriculum for cross-cultural learning, and was a guest lecturer in corporate strategy and international marketing for Northwood University.
Chip has served as a volunteer board member for Youth for Understanding International High School Exchange based in Belgium. He is an insatiable learner who enjoys traveling, research, cooking, and outdoor exploration. Chip completed his undergraduate work at Indiana University and earned an M.B.A. in Integrative Management from Michigan State University.
