Halldor Gudmundsson

Halldor Gudmundsson is an experienced professional in the field of aluminium production and materials science, currently serving as the Casthouse product development manager at Norðurál since April 1998. Halldor has held several positions within the company, including Technical Manager of Reduction and Process Engineer, focusing on process control of aluminium electrolysis cells, raw materials management, and quality control. In addition to industry roles, Halldor has contributed to academia as a guest lecturer at the University of Iceland from 2010 to 2022 and as an adjunct lecturer from 1992 to 1998. Halldor's earlier experience includes project management at Innovation Center Iceland, specializing in RD projects in Metals Casting.
