Melissa Slattery is a seasoned educator and creative professional currently serving as a Professor in the Humanities & Fine Art Department at Norwalk Community College since August 2001. In this role, Melissa Slattery teaches an interdisciplinary course that fosters creativity and critical thinking through the exploration of fine art, literature, music, dance, and film. Additionally, Melissa Slattery has held various roles, including Special Project Coordinator, where a digital history of Norwalk Community College was designed, and Public Relations Associate-Graphics Specialist, focusing on promoting the college’s image across various media channels. As the Curator for the Mayor's Gallery in Norwalk, Melissa Slattery developed themed art exhibitions, and as a Freelance Graphic Designer, extensive design work for licensing textile designs was completed. Education includes a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University and a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Fine Art from the California College of the Arts.
