Taryn Keiko Bye

Taryn Keiko Bye is a Mechanical Designer at Norwest Engineering Inc. since January 2019, where cross-training in mechanical and electrical drafting and design has been emphasized. Taryn also serves as a Creator at K. Bye Design LLC since July 2022 and holds the position of Treasurer for the Creekside at Progress Ridge Homeowner's Association since January 2020. Previous roles include Phone Operator at Best Buy, Geotechnical Technician at GeoDesign Inc., and various bartending positions. Notable fieldwork includes serving as a Geophysical Field Technician with Green Geophysics and Oregon State University, as well as a Graduate Student Research Assistant focused on volcanism in the Central Oregon Cascades. Taryn's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Oregon State University, a Technical Designer degree from Portland Community College, and an Associate of Arts in Geology from Pierce College at Fort Steilacoom. Additionally, a Certificate of French was obtained from Université de Nice Sophia Antopolis.
