Rui Luís Figueiredo Rodrigues

Rui L. is a highly experienced process engineer with a focus on thin film solar cell development. Currently employed as a Senior Process Engineer III at Applied Materials since September 2021, Rui previously held positions at Tandem PV and Energy Everywhere, Inc., where significant achievements include enhancing the efficiency of a 3-cation solar module by 20% and increasing the efficiency of 2-cation solar cells by 30%. Rui's earlier experiences include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland and engineering internships at Avic Xi'an Aero-Engine and China CNHTC. Rui holds a Master’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
