Andrew Leyshon is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in the fields of finance, technology, and economic geography. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow in Finance, Technology and Society at Nottingham Trent University since May 2023 and as a Senior Academic Adviser and Academic Partner Coordinator for Midlands Engine since October 2020, Leyshon has held various significant roles at the University of Nottingham since 1999, including Professor Emeritus of Economic Geography and Head of the School of Geography. Prior academic positions include Reader in Geography at the University of Bristol and Lecturer in Geography at the University of Hull. Leyshon holds a PhD in Economic Geography from Swansea University, where a BA in Geography was also completed.
