David Butler

Employability Manager For The School Of Science & Technology at Nottingham Trent University

David Butler is an experienced academic and employability manager with a strong background in forensic science and ecological education. Currently serving as the Employability Manager for the School of Science & Technology at Nottingham Trent University since September 2004, David Butler focuses on enhancing student employability through collaborative activities with the Employer Engagement Team. Additionally, David Butler is a Principal Lecturer in Forensic Science, leading the BSc (Hons) Forensic Science program and teaching various modules at the undergraduate level. Prior to this role, David Butler held a senior lecturer position at the University of Lincoln, where responsibilities included joint course leadership and instruction in forensic disciplines. David Butler's earlier career includes serving as an International Advisor/Ecologist at the Coastal Research Institute in Thailand, contributing to the development of educational projects in mangrove ecosystems. David Butler possesses advanced degrees in Ecology and Environmental Studies from Bangor University and Sheffield City Polytechnic, respectively.
