Joshua Wells

Joshua Wells is an experienced professional in flood risk management, currently serving as the Principal Flood Risk Management Officer at Nottinghamshire County Council since December 2021. Previously, Joshua held the role of Senior Project Manager at Trent Rivers Trust, where numerous river-based enhancement projects, including Natural Flood Management and hydrological monitoring, were successfully delivered. Freelance work involved undertaking Natural Flood Management scoping projects and designing capital works. Joshua also contributed as an hourly paid lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, teaching modules on fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, and GIS. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused on Natural Flood Management from Nottingham Trent University, a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Nottingham Trent University with first class honors.
