As an energy sector focused Principal, you will grow our business through leveraging your existing relationships and developing new clients. You have extensive experience in the energy sector, across a range of areas, and act as a trusted advisor, actively maintaining executive level relationships. 

You bring experience of using your content expertise to advise and resolve complex problems (especially at the strategic level) for large private sector organisations and potentially governments, either in internal executive or consulting roles.

This role also provides the opportunity to mentor and coach less experienced consultants to assist in their ongoing growth and development on projects at Nous.

The work of our growing energy practice includes:

  • Playing a key role in the development and growth of the energy practice within Nous
  • Leading client development activities including project origination and conversion
  • Leveraging existing and building new relationships with board, executive, and management leaders in the energy sector
  • Leading strategy and business transformation projects in the energy sector with senior client engagement
  • Keeping abreast of, and engaging clients on, some the most significant strategic big-picture considerations of Australia’s energy transition, including as a co-author of Net Zero Australia
  • Leading the development of corporate and business unit strategies for businesses across the energy sector
  • Supporting retailers, network businesses, developers and the broader energy sector develop and meet their net-zero goals while securing social acceptance for their projects.
