Geir Furenes

Geir Furenes has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Geir began their career in 2000 as an Økonomikonsulent/Førstekonsulent at Vest-Agder Sentralsykehus. From there, they worked as an Equity Salesperson at Orion Securities and as a Controller at Sørlandet Sykehus HF. In 2004, Furenes became the Manager of Finance at Kristiansand Kino Drift AS, where they were responsible for finance, administration, and acquisitions. In 2007, they joined National Oilwell Varco as the Manager Controlling Aftermarket, and later became the Chief Controller Rig Aftermarket Norway. In 2016, Furenes took on the role of Director of Finance Eastern Hemisphere at National Oilwell Varco, where they oversee finance for the NOV Rig Aftermarket group.

Geir Furenes attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 1998 to 2000, where they earned a degree in Sivil økonom with a focus on Accounting and Finance. Geir then pursued further education at the University of Stavanger from 1995 to 1998, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. In 2013, Geir Furenes completed the NOV Executive Finance Leadership Program at Rice University.
