Amy Hirons is an accomplished oceanographer with extensive experience in trophic dynamics, stable isotope ecology, and the ecology of various marine organisms from zooplankton to marine mammals. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University since 2006, Amy specializes in paleoceanography and bio-physical interactions. Prior experience includes a role as an Assistant Professor and Research Associate at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2001 to 2006. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a Master of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science - Biology from Hawaii Loa College, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
