Stephanie Akl

Stephanie Akl, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience in various clinical settings. Currently serving as a licensed psychologist at Dr. Stephanie Akl, PLLC and the Mental Health Center of Florida since July 2018 and August 2015, respectively, Stephanie has held roles such as postdoctoral resident and doctoral intern prior. As a psychology trainee at Nova Southeastern University since 2011, responsibilities include individual psychotherapy and psychological evaluations, particularly focusing on child custody assessments and crisis intervention in correctional environments. Additionally, program management experience in an entirely online M.S. program complements clinical expertise, which is supported by earlier roles as a research assistant and research coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh, concentrating on neuropsychological assessment and cognitive psychology. Stephanie holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami.
