Rupert Broad

Rupert Broad's work experience began in 2012 as a Senior System Engineer at Test-Aankoop, providing 3rd line support for infrastructure servers. Rupert then worked as an Active Directory Consultant at Fujitsu Technology Solutions Belgium, where they were involved in the outsourcing project of Bridgestone ICT. At Latham & Watkins, Broad served as an Enterprise Monitoring specialist, designing and implementing a global monitoring solution for the enterprise.

Broad joined Tele2 Nederland in 2014 as an IT Infrastructure Architect, responsible for developing a strategic roadmap and providing architectural designs. At Exact, they worked as a Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Architect, focusing on automated platform services and reducing dependency on third-party cloud-service providers. Broad then joined Ohpen, where they held several positions including Platform Services Tech Lead, DevOps/Cloud Engineer, and Platform Services Consultant, overseeing automation, CI/CD solutions, and support for the SaaS platform on AWS.

In 2022, Broad worked as a Mission Critical Engineer at Schuberg Philis and as a DevOps Engineer at PostNL, where they migrated applications to team-owned AWS accounts and simplified infrastructure architectures. Currently, they work at indigo tangerine consulting as the Owner, and in 2023, they will start a new role as a Senior Cloud Engineer at Novamedia | Postcode Lottery Group.

Rupert Broad attended Westcliff High School for Boys, where they completed their secondary education in 1989. Apart from their high school education, Rupert has obtained various certifications in the field of technology and computing.

In 2008, Rupert became a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), indicating their proficiency in Microsoft technologies. Rupert further expanded their expertise by obtaining certifications such as MCSE: Server Infrastructure (2014), MCSA: Windows 2012 (2012), MCSE: Windows 2000, MCSE: Windows 2003, MCTS: Windows 2008, and MCTS: Windows 7 Enterprise.

Rupert also holds certifications from other institutions, including the Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp (2020), AWS - Certified Solution Architect (Associate) from Amazon (2014), AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional from Amazon (2017), VCP: vSphere 5 from VMware (2012), VCP: vSphere 4 from VMware, and CNE: Netware 6 from Novell.
