John Gizdic

John H. Gizdic currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Novant Health, a position held since February 2021. Previously, John was President and Chief Executive Officer of New Hanover Regional Medical Center from April 2005 to February 2021, having also held roles as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at that institution. Prior to this, John worked at Blue Ridge Healthcare System as Vice President of Administration and Strategic Services, and at Carolinas HealthCare System as Director of CHS Management Company. John began their career as a Senior Financial Analyst/Management Engineer at Mercy Hospitals. John holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration/Management from Penn State University.
