Heather M. Dorn

Heather M. Dorn is currently serving as the Partner and Director of the Real Property Law Practice Group at Novara Tesija Catenacci McDonald & Baas PLLC since March 2021. In this role, they are responsible for leading a team of attorneys in managing complex commercial real estate transactions. Heather M.'sexpertise lies in representing clients such as investors, developers, pension and investment funds, and REITS in the acquisition and disposition of various commercial leased properties.

Prior to their current position, Heather M. Dorn worked at Novara Dorn, PLLC as the Managing Member from November 2008 to February 2021. During their time there, they provided legal guidance on intricate commercial real estate transactions, including contract negotiations, due diligence review, structured finance, leasing, and the sale of distressed and underperforming properties. Additionally, they offered legal support in general business matters such as business formation, policy drafting, compliance issues, and employee contracts.

Before joining Novara Dorn, PLLC, they served as the President of Consolidated Legal Services, P.C. from 1997 to 2008. In this role, they developed and operated a collectively-bargained group legal service plan for over 22,000 union members and their families in the Midwest, representing various unions such as the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, Indiana Carpenters, Laborers, and Sheriff's Unions.

Heather M. Dorn started their career as an Associate Attorney at Novara Tesija & Michela, PC from 1995 to 1997.

Heather M. Dorn received their Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Following this, they pursued a degree in Law and obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Minnesota Law School, completing their studies from 1992 to 1995. Prior to their higher education, Heather M. Dorn attended Troy High School, the details of which are unspecified.
