Renee Jesser

Renee Jesser has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Renee currently holds the position of Lead Bioprocess Engineer at Novavax Inc. Prior to this role, they worked at Agilent Technologies as a Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for various technical duties in support of cGMP oligonucleotide manufacturing operations. Renee also worked at Gates Biomanufacturing Facility as a Technical Transfer / Downstream Processing Specialist, contributing to early Phase Therapeutic Protein downstream process development and cGMP manufacturing operations. Before that, they were a Scientist II at KBI Biopharma, leading downstream process development activities for process establishment and technical transfer of recombinant proteins. Earlier in their career, they served as a Research Biochemist at Merck Sharp & Dohme, where they were the technical lead for analytical method development and qualification. Overall, Renee Jesser has a diverse background with a strong focus on process development and manufacturing in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Renee Jesser holds a Masters degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate of Completion in AMA's Comprehensive Project Management Workshop from the American Management Association.
