Eric Goetz has had a long and varied career in the music and technology industries. Eric began their career in 1996 as a Software Developer for NorthWestNet/Verio and NorthWest Net. In 2002, they became a Software Development Manager at Amazon.com. Eric then moved on to become a Senior Internet Engineer at the Seattle Times in 2006. That same year, they also founded Eric Goetz Music, where they have worked as a Composer, Sound Designer and Audio Implementer. Eric has written music and designed sounds for over 80 games and films, for clients including Random House, Microsoft, Nickelodeon, American Greetings, Sennheiser, and Smashing Ideas. In 2008, they became a Board Member of the Seattle Composer's Alliance, and in 2010 they began working as a Sound Designer at Smashing Ideas. In 2016, they joined the Board of the Academy of Scoring Arts, and in 2017 they became the Head of Content at Novel Effect.
Eric Goetz received a Certificate in Film Scoring from the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in 2009, and a BA in Music from Western Washington University in 1996.
