Ryan Burns has over 18 years of experience in human resources and people management. Ryan is currently working at Novidea as the Human Resources Manager. Prior to this, they worked at Applied Systems as a People Business Partner from 2019 to 2022.

From 2016 to 2019, Ryan served as the Director of People & Culture at TechCanary, where they played a key role in establishing the HR, payroll, benefits, and employee experience strategies. Ryan successfully recruited and onboarded over 50 new employees, oversaw organizational growth of 400%, and created a strong employer brand through social media engagement and Glassdoor ratings.

Before joining TechCanary, Ryan held various HR roles in different organizations, including Wisconsin State Fair Park, Wisconsin Department of Children & Families, Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, and Wisconsin Department of Corrections. These roles gave him diverse experience in recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and payroll.

Ryan Burns attended McFarland High School from 1994 to 1998, where they completed their high school education. After that, they enrolled at the Lubar College of Business from 1998 to 2002. During their time at Lubar College, they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a field of study in Marketing. In 2017, Ryan obtained the SHRM-CP certification from the institution, SHRM.
