Carlos Uribe has extensive work experience in the field of information security. Carlos began their career in 2002 at Ntuitive Software and Systems, where they served as a Specialist Engineer responsible for administering firewalls and intrusion detectors, as well as implementing and maintaining Windows servers.

In 2003, Carlos joined Carvajal Tecnologia y Servicios as an Information Security Officer. During their tenure, they played a pivotal role in developing the company's information security architecture and achieving ISO27001 certification. Carlos also managed the operation of over 700 servers supporting critical B2B e-commerce services and led the migration of this infrastructure to AWS.

In 2019, Carlos transitioned to Siesa as a Cloud Services Director. In this role, they were responsible for managing information security processes and attaining ISO27001 certification. Carlos played a vital role in enhancing IT and security operations, infrastructure, and platforms. Carlos was also part of the incident response team and focused on access, risk, and vulnerability management.

Most recently, in 2022, Carlos joined Novisto as a Cloud Security Specialist.

Carlos Uribe pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Administración y gestión de empresas, general from Universidad ICESI between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas from 1986 to 1990.

In terms of additional certifications, Carlos obtained the following:

- Auditor Líder ISO 27001 from BSI in October 2014

- ITIL Foundations from EXIN in January 2012

- CoBit Foundations from ISACA in June 2010

- Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in February 2009

- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in June 2008

- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² in September 2019

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in January 2007.
