Ivan Timofeev

Ivan Timofeev is an experienced engineer and researcher specializing in propulsion systems and aerophysics. Currently serving as a SteamJet Cubesat Propulsion developer at SteamJet since January 2017, Ivan works on creating compact, incombustible thrusters for nanosatellites. Ivan's background includes a role as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and engineering positions at Novosibirsk State University, OKB Pyatoe Pokolenie, and the Siberian Aeronautical Research Institute. Ivan also founded DeOrbit System, focusing on cubesat propulsion modules. Ivan holds a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences degree in Aerophysics and gas dynamics from Novosibirsk State University and two degrees in Ballistics and Aerodynamics from Novosibirsk State Technical University.
