Shelan Patel

Shelan Patel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Shelan began their career at Universal Orlando Resort in 2007 as a Staff Accountant, where they were responsible for preparing journal entries and managing accounts payable. Shelan then joined PurpleRock Capital Partners in 2008 as a Senior Accountant, overseeing corporate accounting for three subsidiary divisions. In this role, they reviewed journal entries, analyzed GL accounts, and managed fixed assets. In 2011, Shelan joined Now Optics as a Senior Accountant before quickly being promoted to Financial Controller. In this role, they managed various financial activities, including accounts payable, cash management, invoicing, payroll, inventory, and cost accounting. Shelan also had responsibilities for managing the IT department and creating business intelligence modules. Shelan's last role at Now Optics was as the Director of Finance and Treasury, where they oversaw financial systems and business intelligence, as well as finance and treasury operations.

Shelan Patel completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Central Florida in 2007.
