Michael Krueger

Michael Krueger has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Michael currently holds the position of Senior Director of Application Security at NowSecure, a role they have been in since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Application Security at NowSecure from November 2019 to October 2021. Before taking on managerial roles, Michael worked as a Technical Services Lead and Solutions Engineer/Senior Mobile Security Analyst at NowSecure from September 2016 to November 2019.

In 2018, Michael briefly worked at System High Corporation as a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist. During this time, they provided support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as a Security Controls Assessor, conducting security control assessments for the evaluation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls.

From 2009 to 2016, Michael worked at MITRE as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer. In this role, they served as a senior subject matter expert and task leader, managing a team of vulnerability assessment engineers. Michael also acted as a reverse engineer for custom software in high-threat environments.

Prior to joining MITRE, Michael worked at Lockheed Martin as an Information Assurance Engineer from June 2008 to September 2009. Here, they derived security requirements, conducted security testing and evaluation, and collaborated with hardware/equipment engineers to ensure adherence to security requirements.

Michael's earliest work experience was as a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Intern at General Dynamics Itronix in 2006. In this role, they performed quality testing on multiple products and developed a database and front-end for compiling SQA test results.

Additionally, Michael Krueger holds a certification as an eLearnSecurity Mobile Application Penetration Tester (eMAPT), which they obtained from eLearnSecurity in April 2023.
