Alp Sinan Baran, MD has extensive experience in the field of sleep disorders. Alp Sinan began their career as a Sleep Disorders Physician at Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in 1995, where they worked until 1997. Following this, they joined the University of Mississippi Medical Center as the Director of the Sleep Disorders Center and Associate Professor. In 2013, Dr. Baran joined Michigan Medicine, where they served as the Director of Sleep Clinics and Associate Professor. Alp Sinan also held the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the same institution. In 2017, they joined the US Navy as a Sleep Disorders Physician before transitioning to the role of Medical Director at Nox Health in 2020.
Alp Sinan Baran, MD pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 1980, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from The Ohio State University. Following this, from 1984 to 1988, they attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where they obtained a Medical Doctor (MD) degree in Medicine. Afterwards, from 1990 to 1991, they completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Mount Carmel Medical Center. From 1991 to 1994, they enrolled in the Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of Pittsburgh. Lastly, in 1994, they attended the University of Michigan Medical School for a Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
