Franklyn Cater is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial planning and content operations at NPR, where roles included Director of Editorial Planning & Network Coordination and Executive Producer for "All Things Considered." Cater created and managed the NPR Cities Project, which focused on urban issues through various multimedia platforms. Previous positions at NPR included Deputy Director of Content Operations and Senior Producer & Editor for "All Things Considered." Cater also has experience as a freelance news writer for CNN and WJLA-TV, and served as News Editor for NBC News Radio. Academic achievements include being a Mike Wallace Fellow in Investigative Reporting at the University of Michigan and completing a Journalist Fellowship with Atlantik-Bruecke. Cater holds a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin University.
