Alejandro Acién Ayala has worked in various positions since 2015. Alejandro began as an Ingeniero de Sistemas and Becario de Sistemas de la Información at Isdefe. In 2016, they became an Assistant Researcher - Ph.D. Student at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, where they worked on Modelling Human-Computer Interaction: New Applications based on Biometric Signal Processing. In 2018, they completed a Research Internship at Universidad de Antioquía, where they worked on Characterization of the handwriting skills as a biomarker for Parkinson Disease. In 2019, they completed a Research Internship at the Naval Postgraduate School, where they worked on Keystroke biometrics recognition at large scale. Alejandro is currently employed as a Ph.D. Data Scientist at nQ Medical Inc.
Alejandro Acién Ayala obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Telecommunication Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid between 2017 and 2021. Alejandro also completed an advanced English course from the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas between 2011 and 2017. In 2015 and 2016, they completed the Programa CITIUS de Iniciación Profesional in Economics General and Orientated to Empresa from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Lastly, they obtained an Ingeniería Superior de Telecomunicaciones from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid between 2009 and 2015.
