Sharron Flahive

Sharron Flahive has an extensive work experience in the field of sports medicine. Sharron currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at the National Rugby League since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Team Doctor for the Wallabies Rugby Union Team, the Club Doctor for the Sydney Swans, and the Chief Medical Officer for Equestrian Australia. Sharron also worked as the Chair of Training at the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians and as a Concussion and Medical Consultant for the NRL Medical Advisory Panel. In addition, they have served as an Independent Director on the Board of IRP (International Rugby Players Association). Sharron has been actively involved in the field since 2008, working as a Sport and Exercise Physician at The Stadium Clinic. Sharron has provided medical support to various rugby teams, including the Wallaroos Women's Rugby Union Team and NSW Rugby Union, where they held the position of Chief Medical Officer for 20 years.

Sharron Flahive's education history includes a diverse range of qualifications in the field of sports medicine. In 1986, they attended the University of Otago and obtained an MB ChB Dip Sp Med (Lond) FACSP degree, specializing in medicine and sports medicine. Following this, they pursued further education at the London Hospital Medical College in 1990, where they earned a Diploma in Sports Medicine. More recently, they enrolled at the Australasian College of Sport Physicians in 2004 to complete a fellowship in the field of sports medicine.
