Jackie Wheal, CHRL, is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of People & Culture at Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. since May 2023, Jackie provides strategic HR guidance, overseeing employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and health and safety initiatives. Previously, as the Director of Human Resources/Health & Safety at Festival Hydro from 2022 to May 2023, Jackie was instrumental in aligning strategic planning with organizational goals. With prior roles including Human Resources/Health and Safety Manager at Festival Hydro and Human Resources Manager at MVA Stratford Inc., Jackie has a comprehensive background in HR management and program development across various organizations. Jackie holds diplomas in Human Resources Management from Conestoga College and Business Management from Sheridan College.
