Debashis Das

Debashis Das has extensive experience in the power generation sector, currently serving as General Manager at NTPC Limited since September 1986. Responsibilities include overseeing profit and loss for various power plants, including coal and solar facilities, as well as municipal solid waste and biomass projects. Previous roles encompass headship in control and instrumentation, where procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructure were managed. Debashis has also held positions as Additional General Manager, providing consultancy to both Pragati Power Corporation Ltd and Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd, and Deputy General Manager with a focus on commissioning at multiple thermal power stations. Educational qualifications include executive education at Harvard Business School and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, alongside a B.Sc and B.Tech in Applied Physics and Control & Instrumentation from the University of Calcutta.
