Iqbal Hakim

Iqbal Hakim is a Senior Manager at NTPC Limited with over a decade of experience driving operational and commercial excellence in India’s power sector, overseeing initiatives with a combined installed capacity of 76 GW across 95 locations. Significant achievements include developing comprehensive strategies for operational efficiency, creating NTPC’s first renewable energy monitoring systems for wind and solar installations, and earning the GM Meritorious award for leading the renovation of gas turbines. Iqbal holds a Master of Science in Thermal Power and Fluid Engineering from The University of Manchester and furthered studies in Business Administration at Harvard University. Additionally, Iqbal is a certified project manager and has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar.
