Mridul Kumar Shukla

Mridul Kumar Shukla has over three decades of work experience in the legal field. Mridul Kumar began their career as an Advocate in Civil Courts, where they handled civil cases and assisted senior counsels in contract and recovery matters. Mridul Kumar then joined MSJ Builders Pvt. Ltd., where they worked as an Assistant Law Officer, focusing on property laws and construction-related legal issues.

In 1987, Mridul joined NTPC Limited, a premier government-owned public sector undertaking. Mridul Kumar started as an Assistant Law Officer, handling land acquisition and rehabilitation cases and ensuring compliance with land use regulations. Over the years, they progressed to roles such as Senior Law Officer, Deputy Manager, Manager, and Senior Manager, gaining experience in arbitration, litigation, HR matters, CSR activities, and contract law. Mridul Kumar'sresponsibilities included vetting contracts, representing NTPC in litigation, and providing legal advice on various business transactions.

In 2006, Mridul became Senior Manager in the Coal Mining Division, where they provided advanced legal services for takeovers, mergers, and acquisitions. Mridul Kumar also dealt with land acquisition under the Coal Bearing Areas Act. In 2009, they were promoted to Deputy General Manager (Law) and was instrumental in arbitration matters and advising NTPC on contractual disputes and supply contracts.

Mridul's last role at NTPC was as Head of Law, a position they held until their superannuation in January 2011. Throughout their career, they demonstrated expertise in handling complex legal matters and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Mridul Kumar Shukla has a Certificate Program in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, completed in 2016. Mridul Kumar also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from services Jobs and Management, completed in 2008. In addition, they have a Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B) degree from Lucknow University, Lucknow, completed in 1981. Mridul Kumar also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences from Jitesh Vlog in 1977. Mridul Kumar Shukla possesses a Certificate Program in CSR from the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
