James Brophy has extensive experience in the food, dairy, beverage, bio-energy, chemical, oil and gas sectors. James began their career in 1992 as Regional Manager at APV Invensys, where they led the Central Region with responsibilities for P&L, Key Accounts, Engineering, Sales, Distribution, and Represented Products. During their tenure, they grew sales from $24MM to $32MM by focusing on growth in Key Accounts, Product Lines, and Process Improvement. In 2004, they became Owner & Principal Consultant of International Technology Engineering & Consulting, where they provided executive consultant services for industries such as food, meat, sauces, bio-energy, dairy, egg, fermented products, bakery, beverage, ingredients, alcohol, nutraceuticals, and more. In 2005, they founded Precision Food Technology, which was focused on developing technologies that impact functional and organoleptic properties of low fat and nutritional food, dairy and beverage products. In 2007, they founded Precision Fuel Technology, which was focused on process and yield enhancement technologies in cellulosic and corn bio-fuel production. In 2010, Precision Fuel Technology was sold to Sonic Biofuels, LLC, where they became Managing Member. In 2015, they joined NuTek Food Science as VP Operations, and later VP Engineering.
James Brophy attended North Dakota State University from 1986 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology and Management.
