Bin Chen

Bin Chen is a Senior Research Scientist II at NuChem Sciences, with a career spanning from November 2015 to the present, and has held various roles including Senior Research Scientist I and Research Scientist. Prior to this, Bin Chen completed a Ph.D. in organic and medicinal chemistry at Université de Montréal from 2011 to 2015, having previously earned a Master of Science in organic chemistry from the same institution between 2008 and 2011. Bin Chen's research contributions include the structure-activity relationship studies of anticancer compounds, specifically the development of enantiomerically pure constrained pyrrolidine analogues for FTY720 and identification of the lead compound SH-BC-893, which is under development at Siege Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Bin Chen contributed to the total synthesis of the antifungal natural product (+)-ambruticin S during the master's program.
