David Chai

David Chai is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in the field of organic and organometallic chemistry. Currently a Principal Scientist at NuChem Sciences since August 2018, David has progressed through several roles including Senior Scientist II, Senior Scientist I, and Research Scientist. Prior to this, David served as a Senior Research Scientist I at OmegaChem Inc. from July 2013 to August 2018 and worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago from July 2011 to June 2013. David earned a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Toronto, where the thesis focused on the synthesis of heterocycles and carbocycles through advanced palladium-catalyzed reactions. David's research experience includes undergraduate work at the University of British Columbia, where novel synthetic routes for Histrionicotoxin were designed and synthesized.
