Kevin Persad

Kevin Persad, P.E. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the safe operation of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plants. Currently serving as Technical Manager and previously as Senior Process Engineer at Nucor Corporation since February 2014, Kevin has expertise in managing and operating 2.5Mtpy Tenova HYL ZR and 1.6Mtpy Midrex DRI plants. Prior experience includes a role as Process Engineer at ArcelorMittal overseeing multiple Midrex DRI plants, as well as internships focused on engineering processes and crane maintenance. Kevin holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemical & Process Engineering from the University of the West Indies, along with further education in Energy Innovation from Stanford University and various programs at prestigious institutions including MIT and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
