Francesco Vanduynslager

Francesco Vanduynslager has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Their most recent position, starting in November 2022, is as a Team Lead at Nude. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Developer at the same company, starting in November 2020.

Before joining Nude, Vanduynslager worked at Arm, where they held multiple roles. From April 2020 to October 2020, they served as a Software Engineering Manager, responsible for delivering the Automation Engine as part of the Pelion platform. As a Senior Software Engineer from April 2019 to April 2020, they led a team of developers in designing and implementing a high-load event-based distributed system. Francesco also fulfilled the role of a scrum master and worked directly with customers to gather requirements. As a Software Engineer from September 2018 to April 2019, Vanduynslager contributed to various software development projects.

Prior to Arm, Vanduynslager worked as a Software Engineer at Administrate from October 2016 to August 2018. Additionally, they co-founded OBrand Communications in July 2015, where they served as a Co-Founder & Software Engineer. In this role, they managed a small team and was responsible for hardware and firmware development of an iBeacon product, as well as various technical tasks such as designing databases and implementing API servers.

Vanduynslager also gained experience as a Web Application Developer at Gold Standard Simulations from July 2015 to January 2016, participating in the development of interactive JavaScript interfaces and integrating new features into 3D modeling software. Francesco also worked as a Computer Science Laboratory Tutor at the University of Glasgow from September 2014 to May 2015, and as a Software Engineer Intern at Cairn Solutions from June 2014 to August 2014, where they focused on building and setting up embedded devices and developing communication protocols.

Overall, Vanduynslager has a strong background in software engineering and management, with experience in leading teams, designing and implementing complex systems, and collaborating with customers and other stakeholders.

Francesco Vanduynslager completed their education from 1996 to 2011 at the European School Brussels II, where they obtained the European Baccalaureate. Following this, from 2011 to 2015, they attended the University of Glasgow, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electronic and Software Engineering. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Getting Started with Google Kubernetes Engine" from Coursera in September 2018.
