David (Shaobing) Wu

David (Shaobing) Wu has extensive work experience spanning over three decades, with their first significant role being as a Lecturer and Research Associate at Jinan University where they worked from August 1988 until July 1994. From there, they went on to work as a Ph. D. Graduate and Research Associate at North Dakota State University from August 1994 until June 1998. David (Shaobing) started their industry career as a Senior Scientist at The Valspar Corporation Ltda from July 1998 till March 2012. David (Shaobing) then moved to Rust-Oleum Corporation, where they worked as a Project Manager from May 2012 until July 2013. After that, they founded Empower Ltd where they served as the Chief Engineer, Principal Scientist & Founder from August 2013 till August 2019.

David then moved to work at the IGM Resins, where they first worked as a Sr. Application Chemist from September 2019 until September 2020. David (Shaobing) later served as a Consultant from September 2020 until March 2022. David (Shaobing) is currently working at Nufabrx, where they hold the position of Sr. Product Development Scientist since August 2020, and the position of Principal Scientist since August 2022.

David (Shaobing) Wu has a Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Coatings Technology from North Dakota State University, which they obtained between 1994 and 1998. David (Shaobing) also has an MS in Polymer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology, which they received between 1985 and 1988. Lastly, they hold a BS in Inorganic Chemistry and Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Technology, which they earned between 1979 and 1983.
